💡 What: Replaced Array.prototype.push() with direct indexed array assignments (arr[idx++] = val) in the drawWindVectors method of src/core/Game.ts.

🎯 Why: The drawWindVectors method runs every frame and processes potentially hundreds of wind vertices. The push() function call overhead accumulates significantly in this hot path. Using direct index assignments avoids this overhead while reusing the existing batch arrays.

📊 Impact: Expected to reduce execution time for the drawWindVectors batch population by ~5-10x, leading to smoother frame rates and reduced CPU usage during rendering.

🔬 Measurement:

  1. Run pnpm test tests/benchmark_wind_render.test.ts.
  2. Or use a standalone benchmark script to measure the speed difference between loop-based .push() and direct indexed assignment.
  3. Observe lower frame times in the browser DevTools Performance profiler during flight.

In high-frequency rendering loops like `drawWindVectors`, `Array.prototype.push()` adds significant function call overhead. This commit replaces `.push()` with direct indexed array assignments (`arr[idx++] = val`) when populating the wind batch arrays to improve rendering performance and reduce GC pressure.
