The probe runner built the checker only when the binary was missing, and the share runner only checked that it existed. A binary left over from before a checker.c change was then used silently; three worktrees hit it on 29 September 2026 and the verdict answered code 2 or 3 instead of judging. The probe runner now rebuilds when checker.c is newer, and the share runner refuses a stale binary with a named reason. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Verified on the tree of dev plus this branch (eec919c): the checker test set passes, the provability verdict is green with all four checks, the proved-share ledger and the rule tables agree with the tree, pre-push is green, commit messages follow the convention.
