Docs-only. The four existing specs documents become ADR_0001–0004 (status Historical — preserved as-written with a renumbering notice, explicitly not the template for new ADRs). New ADRs 0005–0013 capture the recent protocol-gap analysis with statuses (Proposed / Hold with stated triggers):

  • 0005 derived output schemas + structuredContent
  • 0006 tool annotations, icons, content annotations
  • 0007 progress notifications + per-request SSE
  • 0008 request cancellation (depends on 0007)
  • 0009 MRTR / input_required (elicitation)
  • 0010 OAuth protected-resource metadata
  • 0011 pagination + extensions capability
  • 0012 tasks extension (hold)
  • 0013 conformance corpus extraction (hold, tied to issue Merge with dpella/mcp? #9)

specs/README.md is the index + convention; specs/ROADMAP.md orders the ADRs into batches (batch 1 candidates could join the pending unreleased 0.2.1.0) and records the deliberate non-goals (deprecated features, removed spec mechanisms, per-feature releases). Top-level README links both. No code changes.

Legacy documents renumbered ADR_0001-0004 (Historical, preserved
as-written); new ADRs 0005-0013 capture the open protocol-gap analysis
(derived output schemas, definition metadata, progress, cancellation,
MRTR, OAuth resource metadata, pagination/extensions, tasks extension,
corpus extraction). ROADMAP.md orders them into batches; README points
at both.
