#FirstMover Certified

The #FirstMover Certified badge is a validated credential that confirms your first-mover claim has been independently reviewed by Just In Time AI.

Why Get Certified?

  • Credibility -- an independent review of your first-mover claim
  • Visibility -- listed in the Certified section of the #FirstMover directory
  • Assets -- receive the certified badge (gold ring design) for your website, marketing, and social media
  • Recognition -- stand out from open badge holders with a verified credential

Certification Process

  1. Apply -- Complete the application form at jitai.co with:

    • Company name and URL
    • Industry vertical
    • Description of the gap you filled
    • Evidence of first-mover timing (launch date, market analysis, competitor landscape)
    • Links to the live product or service

  2. Pay -- One-time certification fee of $1,000 via Stripe

  3. Review -- 20-minute review call with Just In Time AI (Schedule via Calendly)

  4. Approval -- Upon approval:

    • Your entry is added to the Certified directory
    • You receive the #FirstMover Certified badge assets (seal, minimal, dark, lockup)
    • You sign the Certified License Agreement

  5. Rejection -- If your application does not meet the criteria, you may submit a rebuttal within 60 days with new or additional evidence. No additional fee required. The certification fee is non-refundable

Dispute and Revocation

Certification can be disputed by any third party. If a dispute is filed:

  1. The dispute is submitted to Just In Time AI with supporting evidence
  2. The certifiee is notified and given 30 days to provide a rebuttal with counter-evidence
  3. Just In Time AI reviews both sides and makes a final determination
  4. If the claim is upheld, certification remains active
  5. If the claim is found to be false, certification is revoked -- the certifiee is removed from the directory and must immediately stop using the certified badge

There are no refunds upon revocation or rejection. The $1,000 fee covers the cost of the review process regardless of outcome.

Certification Criteria

  • Real product -- You have a live, functioning AI product or service (not vaporware, not a prototype)
  • Real gap -- You solved an identifiable problem in your industry
  • First-mover evidence -- You were first or among the first in your specific market. If competitors exist, you can demonstrate you were there first
  • AI-powered -- AI is a core component of your solution, not a marketing label

vCAIO Clients

Active vCAIO (Virtual Chief AI Officer) clients of Just In Time AI receive #FirstMover Certified status at no additional cost for the duration of their engagement. Learn about vCAIO services.

Governance

Current model (launch): Just In Time AI reviews and approves all certification applications. As the creator of the #FirstMover standard, we bring cross-industry pattern recognition and the judgment to evaluate first-mover claims fairly.

Future model (at 10-20 certified members): Transition to a peer review process where existing certified #FirstMovers participate in reviewing new applications. This scales credibility without creating a bottleneck.

We are transparent about this evolution. The community will shape how certification governance matures.
