Question about permanent offline capability

Does anyone here know if there's any downsides to permanently disconnecting the inverter (the Smile G3-S5 in my case) from the internet and just using alpha2MQTT?

I've been deciding between this device and a sigenergy, but from another github comment I found those devices automatically enter a low power mode after 90 days disconnected from the internet.

Does alphaess do something similar with their devices or will they be safe to leave offline permanently?

I don't believe this will be a problem, however, it will reduce the warranty period (as stated in their T&C's), and you won't get firmware updates. I do know with the Storion Smile B3 (first generation), you are limited to the charging/discharging times you can set via MQTT (i.e. it will only do the whole hour not minutes), you can set the minutes with the Web/App interface however. You can overcome this by force charge/discharge via MQTT. Hope this helps, Dan M.
