Hello 👋

I'm Eddie, a curious Software Engineer from the UK with over a decade of experience in building products for the web.

  • I work for the Direct Mail company Stannp.com as a Staff Software Engineer.

  • Day-to-day I work closely on architectural decisions, scaling & stability, and supporting the team.

  • I spend a lot of time thinking about and navigating Software Engineering in an LLM world.

  • I also have a strong Sysadmin background- mostly within Google Cloud Platform and Azure.

  • I'm currently diving into lower level concepts, with C on Linux and OpenBSD.

Recent deep dives:

  • Raw packet inspection on Linux + C with socket(AF_PACKET, SOCK_RAW..) + recvfrom
  • Homelab work: moving containers to Podman quadlets (for systemd intgration)
