Hey!
I really like the branch-based learning setup of this course, so I wanted to add a module centered around automating git workflows with Claude Code.
This new branch (project/git-workflow-agent) walks a user through how to offload the repetitive parts of dev workflows like writing conventional commits, spinning up feature branches, and writing PR summaries directly to the CLI.
Here’s how the commit steps break down for the learner:
Step 1: Drops in a simple Python script (calc.py) with a deliberate zero-division bug to serve as our playground.
Step 2: Sets up a .claudecode.json file to show how we can force Claude to follow specific commit standards (like Conventional Commits).
Step 3: Gives instructions on how to prompt Claude to jump in, fix the script, and handle the auto-commit cleanly.
Step 4: Adds a lightweight shell script showing how to take it a step further and letting Claude audit the branch's git diff and automatically draft a full markdown PR description for the user.
