The below information is outdated please refer to the issues of this repo.
- App Listing - provide the ability to list web-based apps on the main page (no hosting of apps, of course), and the ability to launch them directly into new browser tabs.
- Guidebooks - re-incorporate the side panel w/links to pages of editable text. Viewable & accessible by all users, and only admins can add pages, remove them, or make modifications.
- Security - enable TLS for Bullpen, so every connection is HTTPS.
- Login/Authentication -
- Eliminate the need for dual sign-in. Right now, the site prompts the user to sign-in via a modal before using a full-page browser login screen. The modal needs to be eliminated, and users should only have to login via the full-page login screen.
- Create two distinct logins: one for general users, one for admins. Admins would have the current access they have in Bullpen now - ability to add/subtract apps, make changes to wording, upload new icons, etc. General users (basically everyone except for the Bullpen team) would be able to use the tool, but not make changes to it.
- Metrics - create a service to gather metrics on user activity.
- Enable for Other Customers - configure the service to offer customized home pages of app listings to other companies & organizations on a case-by-case basis (i.e. for any companies that we're working w/on proposals).
- Notifications - receive company-wide notifications in the UI. Viewable & accessible by all users, and only admins can push them out.
- Need a modal to type up and push notifications, and view a history of all notifications sent.
- Remove 'AppsMall' from Notifications box.
- App Submission - need to clean this up by removing certain AppsMall-specific questions, tailor the POCs to commercial enterprises, etc.
- User/Role Management - create (or reuse from OZP) an interface to allow admins to create accounts for users & grant them access.
- New UI/UX code - utilize newer, more sustainable JS & CSS libraries to improve the look & feel of Bullpen.
- New back-end - the use of the OZP code was only meant to be temporary, and eventually we'll need to make our own back-end (or at least fork the parts we want) in order to rid ourselves of any OZP legacy.
- Assign an official URL for Bullpen under the acesinc.net website: bullpen.acesinc.net. Andrew Serff recommended something similar (apps.acesinc.net).
- Add a link on ACES' website to access Bullpen.
- The Tour - reword the content, and orient it more towards Bullpen. (#36 - ACES logo, #37 - 'Next HUD' Ending, #38 - Notification's Tab)
- Ensure the tool is mobile-ready, and can work on any browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, & Safari) on a mobile device.
- A downloadable app for iPhone & Android.
- Prototype of Bullpen home page - create a webpage on ACES' website to serve as the access point for Bullpen (bullpen.acesinc.net). This will be where we prototype a webpage for signing up companies for Bullpen, as well as serve as the home of the blog that will keep employees of ACES up to date on Bullpen's development & general progress.
- Stabilized the Prototype - fixed bugs & small issues found by our people after the link was posted to #dev and #general channels on Slack.
