Area analysis template for researchers

1. Keep all records on the protected UDP Data drive. Ask Tim Thomas for access
   IMPORTANT: Do not upload data or names into the GitHub repository.
   If you have sensitive files, install bfg, delete the file, navigate to the main branch and repo root folder, and then run the following code:
   bfg --delete-files YOUR-FILE-WITH-SENSITIVE-DATA

   • Keep raw files here
   • Keep adjusted files here

2. Develop code within the respective state's repository.

3. Conduct all analysis on the Berkeley EML server. Reach out to Tim to get access.

Minimum area analysis checklist

1. Map
2. Counts over time
   • stacked area graph if more than one place
3. Historical Average during pandemic 4.1 if multiple counties, 1-year rates time period
4. Rates by race using side by side bar graph
   • if different counts
5. Ratio of race / white

Additional graphs
