# User Manuals
# FAC 31

Personal user manuals! Keep them updated, read them well 📒

![Spongebob reading a book](https://media.giphy.com/media/WoWm8YzFQJg5i/giphy.gif)

## How do I edit my user manual?
Click on the 'issues' tab above to create a new issue, by clicking 'New Issue'.

This will open a template as a starting point, but this is your user manual to reflect on yourself however fits you best. Try to fill in as much as you can now, so that updating it in the future is easier - and more rewarding.

## Why are we doing this?
It's great to have a space to reflect on ourselves, and how we work in a team. We can also learn about our team-mates before working together, so we know how to get the best out of each other and work well as a team 🧑‍🤝‍🧑🧑🏼‍🤝‍🧑🏿

It is also a wonderful idea to leave feedback as a comment on other people's user manuals, once you have worked with them.

## Updating your user manual

Throughout the course you'll be working with new people and learning about how you like to work alongside others. Updating your user manual throughout the course will allow you to understand more about yourself and will help others to understand how you like to work.

## Example

You can see @[nichgalzin's](https://github.com/nichgalzin) user manual here: https://github.com/fac28/user-manuals/issues/9

# Git Flow Practice

## Goals

### Group 1

Create an easily readable record of our cohort agreements

### Group 2

Create a folder where the cohort can share interesting links & ideas, then populate it with some material

### Group 3

Create a user manual template for each cohort member

---

## Rules

1. You must use the following commands:
- [ ] `clone`
- [ ] `branch`
- [ ] `checkout`
- [ ] `commit`
2. You must never commit to main
3. You must get your Pull Request reviewed by another team member
4. All edits must be made in your IDE, not directly in GitHub

---

## Helpful Links

- A [guide to GitHub Flow](https://docs.github.com/en/get-started/using-github/github-flow), the default git workflow at FAC
- A [FAC workshop](https://learn.foundersandcoders.com/workshops/git-workflow/) to teach `git` fundamentals. The info is still good, but you'll need to adapt the steps to our purposes

### How I get my best work done:
In hyper focus surrounded by people

### The role I usually take in a team:

Honesty, authenticity, humour

### What people misunderstand about me:
That me being sad, wanting to isolate and escape sometimes has something to do with others.

### How I like to get my feedback:
Directly face-to-face

### Technical strengths & weaknesses:
I love React, Next.js and I sometimes enjoy SQL. I am overwhelmed with testing.

### Interests (programming or otherwise!):
