Is this reverse engineered from the NI Driver Station? If i knew about this months ago I would have been ecstatic.

I don't know too much more about it than you, I just came across it today. I spent the whole season using windows because I didn't know... The GUI is completely different (and really ugly) but it implements essentially every feature of the DS. Note that it isn't comp legal.

Quite a large section of the NI driverstation protocol has been reverse engineered over the years https://frcture.readthedocs.io/en/latest. I belive there are 2 or 3 different third party driver stations with varying levels of maturity

There has already been work to reverse engineer the new driver station as well

The new DS is already going to be available for linux though right? The only limitation is lack of FMS support.

However all the ones id looked into had only supported pre 2020 robots, and i hadnt found any non-abandonded project.
