Summary of Changes

Hello @gibbz00, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request resolves a parsing deficiency within the std::chrono::duration handling mechanism. Previously, the system lacked the ability to correctly interpret time durations specified in "hours". The introduced change integrates the necessary logic to recognize and convert "hours" units, thereby completing the parsing capabilities for standard time durations and preventing potential data misinterpretations.

Highlights

  • std::chrono::duration Parsing: Added support for parsing "hours" units when handling std::chrono::duration types, ensuring correct conversion from input values.

Code Review

This pull request correctly adds support for parsing std::chrono::duration with the 'hours' unit, which was previously missing. The change is straightforward and follows the existing pattern in to_duration. My main feedback is to add a unit test to verify the fix and prevent future regressions.

This correctly adds support for 'hours'. To ensure this fix is robust and to prevent regressions, it would be beneficial to add a unit test that covers parsing a duration in hours. For example, you could add a test case to tests/json/test_duration.cpp that serializes and deserializes a struct containing std::chrono::hours.
