Many time i have to edit temporary config to make it work (change from sftp/ftp etc.) - allowing to edit added servers by uri handler would be great. I also think about moving 'add permanent' option there instead of right click menu (almost always when we add, we would like also to change name of server).
What do You think? To make it possible i need to change entire configuration view logic, but it looks that it is working and is much simpler.
