Backend Setup

cd backend
python -m venv .venv
.venv\Scripts\activate
pip install -r requirements.txt
uvicorn app_stream:app --reload --host 127.0.0.1 --port 8000

Frontend Setup

cd frontend
npm install
npm run dev

Default local URLs:

Service URL
Frontend http://localhost:5173
Backend API http://localhost:8000

Create backend and frontend environment files based on the services you enable.

Testing

Run backend tests:

pytest

Run frontend tests:

cd frontend
npm run test

Run frontend production build:

Deployment

The frontend can be deployed as a Vite application. The backend should run as a persistent Python service because it includes API routes, database access, background processing, AI/ML dependencies, and long-running workers.
