Scripts and files for Talk to me in Korean, especially the import of their materials into Anki (flash) cards.
Here's the process, with Level 1 for example:
- I went through the course lessons manually and recorded the vocab/conversations that I found useful/interesting into
level1.txt. This is done manually. - I used ChatGPT/GPT-4 to help create romanization where TTMIK does not provide it, thanks GPT-4!
- I run
python compile.pyto createlevel1_compiled.txt. Mainly this makes sure to take each card and insert a duplicate of it that is reversed, so you get cards for both English -> Korean and vice versa. In total e.g. currently this creates 576 Anki cards. - I import
level1_compiled.txtinto Anki - I study cards to become 한국어 전문가
Feel free to adjust to your needs, it's just text files. E.g. You may wish to only study cards up to some lesson numbers, in that just edit the text file by deleting later cards (or comment them out by starting a line with #), and do only a partial import, and then update new cards over time as you go through the lessons.
