The non-litigation paradox. Senior partners at PRC and PRC-facing firms tell us the same thing: 30–60% of associate hours go to work that is legally important but intellectually mechanical — redlining the 17th iteration of an NDA, ticking through a PIPL gap assessment checklist, reformatting a SPA disclosure schedule, drafting the seventh near-identical employment contract for a new branch office, manually cross-checking trademark availability across Nice classes. Partners want associates on judgement work; associates want out of the grind; clients want lower bills without losing review quality.
The hallucination tax. Generalist chatbots cannot solve this.
