compaction module is separate. memory is now just an example. create_tool() deprecated. just use the type bro.
Surface OpenRouter/OpenAI-compatible mid-stream failures (finish_reason "error" or an error payload on a chunk) as a new StreamError so callers can retry or fail over, rather than ending the round as if the truncated output were a finished response. In this PR, Fury SDK grows up.
We switch back to using the OpenAI SDK as a dependency. This allows this module to focus on higher level things rather than retries, error handling etc.
The old
HistoryManagerandStaticHistoryManagerare a thing of the past.HistoryManageris now just used to automatically for history to a specific context size. Storage of history is also handled downstream.History compaction is now handled by a new
HistoryCompactor()module that just spins up an agent with a prompt. Pass it messages and it will give you a compaction summary. You can the decide how many recent messages.Memoryis also a thing of the past. Theexamples/memory_chat.pyshows why rigid memory modules make literally no sense. Plus if you're saving user-based memory in a database the old way was incompatible.create_tool()has been removed. Just use theTooltype instead.TODO: Introducing Async where needed.
