KidsRuby on OS X

I just tried to install KidsRuby on OS X Yosemite (10.10.4) and got the message "Sorry, KidsRuby is not currently supported on your operating system."
Which OS X versions does KidsRuby work with? How about a note about that on the "Downloads" page?

Another question: what about version 2.0? It seems like the development stalled in December 2014. Any plans to work on this again? (If so, I might be tempted to help out.)

Not that nw.js has reached a more stable place, I think the time is here to continue the effort.

I am working on getting back my OSX dev machine, and then I will look into it more actively. Thanks for the reminder!

Still an issue with El Capitan. Advice on using this at a kid's maker space? Do you think work will continue on the project or is it at end of life?
