Step 4 of HANDOFF-tower-tab-insides: the ratchet.

  • scripts/style-ratchet.mjs (yarn ratchet, new CI step after Lint): counts local styles outside src/ui that redo a kit piece (section titles, tables, facts, notes, cards, banners, headline numbers, hand-rolled sky links, radii off the 6/4 scale) and fails if any count goes up. Baseline 119 (was 328 before this pass); --update writes a lower baseline.
  • Also fails on a class name used without a style in its sheet, local or borrowed from another file (tsc cannot see these; steps 1/2 left three, fixed in Tab insides, step 3: Card, Tile, Callout, Stat; SLOs and the ArgoCD warning #83). Known false positives (a variable name reused for two sheets) are in the baseline.
  • Probed both ways: removing a shared break-glass style fails with the two files that use it; adding a local sectionTitle fails with the list.
  • docs/design-system.md: inside of every tab marked done; how to run and update the ratchet.

scripts/style-ratchet.mjs counts the local styles outside src/ui that redo a kit
piece (section titles, tables, facts, notes, cards, banners, headline numbers,
hand-rolled sky links, radii off the 6/4 scale) and fails CI if any count goes
up. The baseline is 119, down from 328 before this pass. It also fails on a
class name used without a style in its sheet, local or borrowed from another
file: tsc cannot see those, and steps 1 and 2 left three of them (fixed in
step 3). docs/design-system.md: the inside of every tab is done; how to run and
update the ratchet.
