And a timeframe of deprecation of Social Apps until end of 2026 and final shutdown 2027. As such, it does not quite make sense to keep supporting RPX in future versions of gitit.

Maybe this should not be applied until the final shutdown of the platform, though I have never seen anybody use RPX in the last decade or so. Maybe Pasqualino Titto Assini, who submitted the original patch, still needs it?
