SiLane is a lightweight automation tool designed to simplify project management and execution of the LibreLane RTL-to-GDSII flow.
It was developed during a university digital ASIC design project to reduce manual setup effort and improve reproducibility when working with open-source EDA tools such as LibreLane and the SKY130A PDK.
NOTE: This is still in development and it lacks documentation, it still is unstable and incomplete,
LibreLane requires multiple manual steps for setting up, configuring, and running ASIC design flows. SiLane provides a simple wrapper to:
- Create and manage design projects
- Handle configuration files consistently
- Automate execution of LibreLane flows
- Organize design directories and templates
Typical workspace layout used by SiLane: (TODO)
