SiLane β€” Silicon Flow Automation Tool

SiLane is a lightweight automation tool designed to simplify project management and execution of the LibreLane RTL-to-GDSII flow.

It was developed during a university digital ASIC design project to reduce manual setup effort and improve reproducibility when working with open-source EDA tools such as LibreLane and the SKY130A PDK.

NOTE: This is still in development and it lacks documentation, it still is unstable and incomplete,

πŸš€ Purpose

LibreLane requires multiple manual steps for setting up, configuring, and running ASIC design flows. SiLane provides a simple wrapper to:

  • Create and manage design projects
  • Handle configuration files consistently
  • Automate execution of LibreLane flows
  • Organize design directories and templates
