Orbit — Virtual Tour Builder

A browser-based tool for creating interactive 360° virtual tours. Upload panoramic images, link them with hotspots, add floor plans, and export a standalone viewer. All data is stored locally in your browser via SQLite and IndexedDB.

Features

  • Upload and manage 360° equirectangular panoramic scenes
  • Link scenes together with clickable hotspots
  • Upload floor plan images and place scene pins at real-world positions
  • Set per-scene rotation correction and initial view
  • Export a self-contained HTML virtual tour
  • Download tour videos with configurable resolution, aspect ratio, and transitions
  • Local-first — no server required, everything stays in your browser

Getting Started

No build step or dependencies required. This is a static web app.

Option 1: Open directly

  • Double-click index.html to open it in your browser.
  • Start creating the virtual tours.
  • Backup the data base locally.
  • Export the created tour and save it locally.

Option 2: Local server (recommended)

Some features (like export) may work more reliably when served over HTTP.

# Python
python3 -m http.server 8080

# Node.js (npx)
npx serve .

# PHP
php -S localhost:8080

Then open http://localhost:8080 in your browser.
