The interactive click-to-reveal glossed page renders as raw HTML source on github.com, which is the only place it was reachable — a page built to be read in a browser, shipped in the one place a browser won't run it. Serving docs/ via Pages makes it live. .nojekyll because the site is static files, not a Jekyll build: the docs/ tree is full of markdown containing braces that Liquid would try to interpret, and a failed Jekyll build means no site at all.
