test adding new metric

See what it's like to add a metric to the database, i.e. using the read.py ... update command. I don't think the process is documented in the readme yet, but you should

1. add the metric to the XML, in an appropriate view
2. add the metric to your QC CSVs
   OR
3. make a new QC CSV of just unique_ids and organisms

the read program should update the database with the new columns and values.
