Is anyone able to merge this in? It seems to fix a few indexing issues I am having. |

The problem with merging this is that it is only a partial python3 port, which means that most things won't probably work, so the merge will have to wait for a full support. |

Yep thats what I have done for now I have forked it and any python 3 issues which I come across I will fix it's just I thought partial support is better than no support. (I did see you linked a nicer way in another PR from the Django docs which is probably better) |
