[P2] Remove the obsolete GitHub pagination rewriting claim #61

Closed

Description

@michielbdejong

Recorded during review of main at a1eb305ccfa2f3fc8ddede4875765cf1b099bd2b. This issue records a finding only; no implementation changes were made or requested.

Finding

The README claims GitHub canonical numeric repository pagination links are rewritten to the current owner/repo path when the collection suffix matches. No such rewriting remains in production forwarding code: Link headers are passed through by the generic header filter. Tests instead cover canonical numeric paths in catalog metadata.

Evidence

Desired outcome

Describe current generic Link forwarding and catalog handling accurately, without implying a GitHub-specific runtime branch.

    Fixed in #73 — removed the false claim that GitHub pagination links get rewritten; Link headers are forwarded verbatim (no such rewriting code exists in production forwarding).
