Pointing to a tag that was set programmatically

Great stuff with this pod!

Seems like when I reference a tag that I had set programmatically, it prevents the tutorial from advancing at all. Thoughts?

Thanks Ken, can you give me an example of what you mean?

Do you mean that you have say a UIView *myView with a tag set in code like myView.tag = 1, that TutorialKit can't find that view with that tag?

Update: It seems to only be an issue when I programmatically set the tag of a navigationItem

In my example, I'm programmatically making a UIBarButtonItem, setting the tag, and setting that to my rightBarButtonItem like so:

UIBarButtonItem *newRightBarButtonItem = [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Button!" style:UIBarButtonItemStyleDone target:self action:@selector(action)];
newRightBarButtonItem.tag = 999;
self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = newRightBarButtonItem;

I'll continue to do more testing and see what the issue might be.

I'm thinking the UIBarButtonItems doesn't pass its' tag onto the view that represents it. You might be able to create a UIBarButtonItem with a custom view that has a tag set on the custom view.

Thanks for the idea!

I was able to get it working by setting a UIButton as the customView in the UIBarButtonItem object, then setting the tag of that UIButton.

It works perfectly after that.

OK, I'm going to leave this issue open because I may want to add UIBarButtonItem tag support in the future.
