This adds a build for both device software and baremetal software.
Instead of implying that Python should be run, actually run it explicitly to get things to work inside Nix.
This runs a smoke test on the Verilator simulator to make sure one of the USB device tests pass.
To show how to build the software and test the simulator.

This PR builds both the device and bare metal software. It also uses the simulator to run a USB test to check that everything still works.
