Hi, I’m Madison Enda, a researcher and data scientist with the FWCC Fish & Wildlife Institute’s Coral Research Program. My work involves managing long-term ecological monitoring datasets on coral reef health, demography, biomass, and environmental conditions, as well as synthesizing reports and research utilizing this wealth of information.

While I'm behind a computer for a good part of the year, during field season I'll be diving out in the Florida Keys and Dry Tortugas National Park! I love spending time in the water, and my fieldwork—combined with my background in marine biology and coastal environmental studies—is fundamental to developing analyses and interpreting results ecologically. I am very excited about the deliverables currently on my 2026 agenda, most of which will be posted on the FWRI CRP website.
-
I am also looking forward to bringing my geospatial skills from previous projects to my current position! Geospatial analysis lends incredible analytical and creative support to any project: uncovering patterns, testing ideas, and building visualizations that make complex ecological and demographic data easier to explore :)
