This page describes a collection of image transitions in Java.

Introduction

The Transition is a functional interface that reads:

void paint(Graphics2D g, BufferedImage frameA, BufferedImage frameB, float progress);

So if progress == 0 we render frameA, and if progress == 1 we render frameB. And as progress transitions from 0 to 1: the Transition is responsible for tweening between the two frames somehow.

These use the built-in Java2D architecture:
