Debian 13 is missing php8.4-imap, so the installer quits with an error

I am afraid the installer is broken for Debian 13 due to the missing php8.4-imap dependency. It just quits with an error.

I understand the reason is that it was moved in PHP 8.4, so this will be an issue for anyone using PHP 8.4, not just Debian: https://php.watch/versions/8.4/imap-unbundled

It seems like the extension is dead:

Given the problematic nature of the IMAP extension, it is not recommended to use the IMAP extension.

I have the same issue with Ubuntu 26.04 LTS:

$ php -v
PHP 8.5.4 (cli) (built: Apr  1 2026 09:36:11) (NTS)

$ apt install php8.5-imap
Error: Unable to locate package php8.5-imap
Error: Couldn't find any package by glob 'php8.5-imap'

From https://www.php.net/manual/en/book.imap.php:

This extension is DEPRECATED and UNBUNDLED as of PHP 8.4.0.

Not sure if modern NextCloud versions need this imap extension.
