Meeting Proposal invitation email is in the senders language

Steps to reproduce

1. Set the user's language to German
2. Invite somebody to your meeting proposal. If it matters: in my case it was an external email, without an account
3. The email will arrive in German

I currently don't know what the instance language is set to (might be German, too), so that might play a role as well.

Expected behavior

It should arrive in the same language as normal meeting invites are sent (when I tested these, the external email received them in English)

Actual behavior

The email is sent in the language of the sender (German) in that case

Calendar app version

currently no Admin access to check 6.6.1

Nextcloud version

33.0.8.2

The meeting invitation and proposal are both sent in the users language, if your results are different please update the server and calendar app

@SebastianKrupinski thanks for the quick reply! Okay, I'll check once it is updated. My server updates usually lack many months behind (it is a managed nextcloud)

you mean the language of the sender? Or the receiver?

If it is the latter, then I assume for external invites (where there exists no user), it falls back to the language of the sender?

I phrased the ticket here the way I did, because the inconsistency I observed is obviously unexpected. But actually, it is also a feature request of having the invite language configurable for external invites - shall I create a new ticket for that or keep the discussion here?

@SebastianKrupinski I checked. Mail app is recent (6.6.1), only NC server is old (33.0.8.2). But the latter one I cannot update myself. Would you assume that after an update, the language discrepancy would be resolved?

Yes, updating the server version would help, the server is what sends the meeting invitations, but the calendar app is what sends the meeting proposals
