Summary
Currently, Zerobyte works great for always on devices like servers but isn't ideal for computers (i.e., laptops) that are not always on and therefore might miss a time based trigger (every day at 5pm).
Motivation / Use case
I love the new desktop app and am currently using it on two laptops. Using it shows me an area of improvement I would like to see. Currently, the only way to trigger a backup is time based (i.e., once a day at 5pm). This works great for servers that are always connected but causes issues for a laptop, that likely won't always be connected every day at a set time.
Currently, the workaround Im using is hourly backups which generally works but creates a lot of unnecessary backups.
Proposed solution
I'd like to see some sort of trigger such as "trigger backup once a day, as soon as computer is online" that would accommodate such situations.
