Using the reference website

🇬🇧 English · 🇷🇺 Русский

This wiki is about object-digital-passport.github.io — the reference website: which button to press, what each screen expects, and what to do when something does not work.

It is deliberately not about what a passport is or why verification proves anything. That belongs to the standard, and lives in the protocol wiki. This site is one implementation of that standard; a different one could look nothing like it and still be correct.

Page What's there
Verify an Object Free, no wallet, about two minutes. Start here.
Register a Profile One-time, needs a wallet and a few cents. Required before issuing anything.
Issue a Passport What each field means and which ones cannot be changed later.
Troubleshooting Wallet not appearing, request stuck, ID not found.

Before you start

Verifying costs nothing and needs no wallet. Everything else — registering a profile, issuing a passport — writes to a public blockchain and costs a network fee, currently about $0.01–0.03 on Polygon. The project takes no cut of that and charges nothing itself.

This site talks to the v0.6 registry at 0x012aC639…5b91b on Polygon, and only that one. It does not fall back to earlier, superseded registry lines: a passport issued under v0.5 will not resolve here.

Alpha. Each v0.x is a separate registry generation, not an upgrade — passports do not migrate between them. For records that have to last decades, wait for v1 (target: January 2027).
