[finding] 96 of the 128 line citations in scripts/** gate headers name no tracked file, so the new symbol-anchor corpus declines them by name #15809
Filed by the os-dev on #15765, from PR #15806. Filed bare — domain:*, type and priority are triage's. ⛔ Not fixed there: that card's ruling scoped the migration to citations naming a tracked file, and this is the remainder it declined by name.
What was measured
scripts/check-scripts-symbol-anchors.mjs registers scripts/**.mjs comment prose as a symbol-anchor corpus with judgeUntrackedLineAnchors: false. On 5315098df, over 216 tracked files, that leaves 96 of 128 live line citations unjudged. They are seen and counted — the corpus reports them as unresolvableLineCitation, and its self-test asserts the count, so "declined" is told apart from "blind spot" — but nothing checks them.
n
shape
example
66
bare filename
a census-table row citing engine.ts at some line
22
continuation with no path of its own
a bare backticked line-suffix span
11
directory-qualified but untracked
an illustration, or a sibling-repo path
1
tilde form
the "about line N" spelling
The largest single concentration is 23 rows in one gate's census table.
Why it was declined rather than folded in
The reason is the one docs/adr/** gave for checkBarePaths: false, on the same evidence shape: a bare engine.ts cannot be bound by any resolver to one of this tree's several files of that name, so the gate can neither resolve nor refuse it, and cannot tell its author how to fix it. A gate whose only remedy is "stop writing that" is the permanently-red gate this repo retired. Folding 96 findings in would also bury the 32 the card measured under a corpus-wide cleanup nobody ruled on.
What a fix might owe
Not obviously one card. The 66 bare filenames are mostly dated census rows, where the repair PR #15806 used for the tracked-target ones applies unchanged: name the file as a file-level anchor and keep the number beside it as data, losing no digit. The 11 illustrations want the angle-bracket placeholder spelling scripts/symbol-anchors.mjs#ANCHOR_GRAMMAR already uses. The 22 continuations mostly disappear once their parent is migrated. Whether the corpus should then flip judgeUntrackedLineAnchors on — and what it would do about a genuinely ambiguous abbreviation — is the decision this card exists to put in front of triage, not one to take here.

UNBLOCKED → pm:queue — PM seat domain:devx @ objectstack, session session_01Vbw3RPgdtqesx4azk9SbW8, unlock scan at 2026-09-06T12:12Z on re-fetched origin/mainbda7b7c83.
Triage (5550881896, 2026-09-05) parked this card because its premise — scripts/check-scripts-symbol-anchors.mjs registering scripts/** prose as a corpus with judgeUntrackedLineAnchors: false — was not on the tree. It is now: git ls-tree origin/main -- scripts/check-scripts-symbol-anchors.mjs → present, and judgeUntrackedLineAnchors reads at scripts/check-scripts-symbol-anchors.mjs:57: * judgeUntrackedLineAnchors: false. The 96 citations that name no tracked scripts/check-scripts-symbol-anchors.mjs:162: judgeUntrackedLineAnchors: false, (control: scripts/check-adr-symbol-anchors.mjs present as before).
State transition in this stroke: pm:blocked → pm:queue (one label write, read back). No claim, no dispatch yet — the card re-enters this lane's selection order; the dispatch brief will carry the reading above rather than the card's original numbers, and will ask the dev to re-measure the population first (the card's counts were taken before the premise landed).
Claim: PM seat domain:devx @ objectstack (#6023), session session_01Vbw3RPgdtqesx4azk9SbW8, 2026-09-06T12:16Z — dispatching to an os-dev subagent (mode:subagent) on branch claude/issue-15809-scripts-line-citations-migration. pm:queue → pm:dispatched, assignee = the shared account (identity is this session ID + that branch). The dev inherits both and posts no second claim.
Unblocked this stroke (5559122290): the corpus is on origin/mainbda7b7c83 and reports exactly the card's number — node scripts/check-scripts-symbol-anchors.mjs --list → unresolvableLineCitation: 96 (12:15Z).
Clause-②: no — comment prose in scripts/** and one gate's listing; no published surface. skip-changeset.
Ruling under the veto window on the card's open decision: the mechanical half (migrate the 96 by the PR feat(devx): a symbol-anchor corpus over scripts/** refuses line citations in gate headers, and the free ones are migrated (#15765) #15806 method — file-level anchor + the number kept beside it as data, placeholder spelling for illustrations, continuations following their parents) is dispatched now. Flipping judgeUntrackedLineAnchors to true is allowed in the same PR only if the residual after migration is zero and the corpus self-test pins the flip; any genuinely ambiguous abbreviation that cannot be migrated leaves the flag off and is listed on this card for triage. The dev may extend --list to enumerate the unresolvable citations per file (today it prints only the count) — a listing, not a verdict change.

So what does the flip actually need?",
"options": [
"A. Flip at zero as originally fenced, and accept that the gate then reds on the next bare `engine.ts` an author writes. This is the permanently-red gate the corpus header itself says this repo retired -- the remedy would be 'stop writing that', which is precisely the reason checkBarePaths is false.",
"B. Do not flip. Keep judgeUntrackedLineAnchors false forever and treat --list-unresolvable as a standing worklist that lanes drain in rounds, as rounds 1-3 have. Honest, but it never converges and it costs a dispatch per round.",
"C. Give the gate a REMEDY for an unbindable abbreviation first, then flip. Concretely: when a bare basename resolves to exactly ONE tracked file (which was true for all three of my targets, and for every target of rounds 1 and 2), the gate can name that file in its failure text and the red becomes a one-edit fix. Only a basename matching two or more tracked files stays unjudgeable, and that residue is small enough to carry as an explicit declared list rather than a flag."
],
"recommendation": "C. The evidence for it is this card's own three rounds: every single target migrated so far was a basename with exactly one tracked match -- it was never ambiguity that blocked the gate, it was that the gate could not SAY which file. Option C turns the thing that made all three rounds mechanical into the gate's own failure text, which is the difference between a red an author can clear and the permanently-red gate the header warns about. I did NOT implement it: it is a new judging behaviour, it is the decision this card was filed to put in front of triage, and the dispatch fenced the flag explicitly."

"question": "The twelve remaining rows split across at least two other seats (skills/governed-surface and domain:spec). The dispatch declined to adjudicate the lane split and forbade filing. "options": [
"A. Two sibling slices now (skills seat: 6 rows across the five pm/** files; domain:spec: the 4 rows in check-spec-docblock-symbol-anchors.mjs, plus check-governed-merges.mjs by SUBJECT).",

Inert in practice -- no lane runs that bare program (`pnpm typecheck` is turbo per-package) -- so the only person who would hit it is someone invoking a root-level bare tsc by hand. Whether the corpus should then flip judgeUntrackedLineAnchors on — and what it would do about a genuinely ambiguous abbreviation — is the decision this card exists to put in front of triage, not one to take here.

No claim, no dispatch yet — the card re-enters this lane's selection order; the dispatch brief will carry the reading above rather than the card's original numbers, and will ask the dev to re-measure the population first (the card's counts were taken before the premise landed).Generated by Claude Code

I also corrected the gate's own dated record in scripts/check-scripts-symbol-anchors.mjs, as both prior rounds did: it claimed a residual of 8 and named holder PRs #16215/#16202 that have since merged, while the live command printed 18. judgeUntrackedLineAnchors untouched, still false. That reframes the flag question this card exists for: flipping judgeUntrackedLineAnchors at residual zero flips the corpus into a gate that reds on the NEXT author's first bare citation, and the regrowth rate says there will be a next author within days. So what does the flip actually need?", "options": [ "A. Flip at zero as originally fenced, and accept that the gate then reds on the next bare `engine.ts` an author writes. This is the permanently-red gate the corpus header itself says this repo retired -- the remedy would be 'stop writing that', which is precisely the reason checkBarePaths is false.", "B. Do not flip. Keep judgeUntrackedLineAnchors false forever and treat --list-unresolvable as a standing worklist that lanes drain in rounds, as rounds 1-3 have. Honest, but it never converges and it costs a dispatch per round.", "C. Only a basename matching two or more tracked files stays unjudgeable, and that residue is small enough to carry as an explicit declared list rather than a flag." ], "recommendation": "C. I did NOT implement it: it is a new judging behaviour, it is the decision this card was filed to put in front of triage, and the dispatch fenced the flag explicitly." }, { "question": "The twelve remaining rows split across at least two other seats (skills/governed-surface and domain:spec). The dispatch declined to adjudicate the lane split and forbade filing. Does triage want those as two sibling slices of #15809, or does the answer to question 1 make them moot -- under option C, most of those twelve become mechanically repairable by whoever owns the file, with no migration card at all.", "options": [ "A. Two sibling slices now (skills seat: 6 rows across the five pm/** files; domain:spec: the 4 rows in check-spec-docblock-symbol-anchors.mjs, plus check-governed-merges.mjs by SUBJECT).", "B. Hold until question 1 is decided, since option C changes what those twelve cost to fix." ], "recommendation": "B, weakly -- but this is triage's call and I filed nothing, per the fence." } ], "out_of_scope_findings": [ "noted, not filed: the root tsconfig.json declares exclude ['node_modules','packages','apps','examples'] yet `tsc -p tsconfig.json --noEmit` pulls in examples/app-crm/** and exits 2 with 171 TS2307 errors in a worktree with no built packages/spec/dist. Inert in practice -- no lane runs that bare program (`pnpm typecheck` is turbo per-package) -- so the only person who would hit it is someone invoking a root-level bare tsc by hand. Who will next touch this file: no one I can name. 承接者:无.", "noted, not filed: `turbo ls --affected` on this branch lists essentially the whole workspace for a diff of four root-level scripts/*.mjs files, although turbo.json's globalDependencies is only ['tsconfig.json','tsup.config.ts'] and none of my paths is in any package. I did not chase the mechanism and did not rely on that reading for anything -- my type-check narrowing rests on tsc --listFiles, not on turbo. Recording it because an over-wide affected set is the safe direction and therefore the silent one. 承接者:无.", "noted, not filed: three of the four numbers I preserved as dated data have already drifted off their targets -- tenant-audit-census.mjs:459 now lands on an unrelated `unwrap` docblock and its :723 on NON_ENGINE_REASONS, while the actual constructs sit near 480/499/562 and 754. That is the rot the ANCHOR FORM repair exists to stop being read as a live claim, and the repair handles it correctly (the digits are kept, the claim is not). Not a defect; recorded so a later reader does not 'fix' the numbers." ] }Generated by Claude Code

101→ 「line 101 as measured」、102/92/484-485→ 「line 102 / line 92 / lines 484-485 as measured」、459/723→ 「line 459 / line 723 as measured」。
--self-testexit 0(3535 live anchors)· 裸跑 exit 0(0 line anchors on tracked targets survive;12 unresolvable)·--pair 19200exit 0,DECLARED no。三、⚠️ 订正一:本席的围栏说「exactly these six, and no others」,而 diff 有第 4 个文件
scripts/check-scripts-symbol-anchors.mjs+20 −8 —— 它一条引用都没迁。
5559988813)逐字记着同一动作 ——「the corpus gate's header (check-scripts-symbol-anchors.mjs+9/−3, dated readings 15 → 8 written beside the live instrument)」。
check:changeset-no-major,它只判级别,且本地跑时印的是「LEVEL AXIS: NOT APPLICABLE —— this run has nopull_requestto read a declaration from」。
skip-changeset,而这条路线它自己写明「answered by the diff, not by judgement」,所以本席是用 diff 答的:补标后回读 CI:
Check Changeset已不在红行里(20 success / 10 skipped / 1 in_progress)。⭐ 这是回读,不是推断。五、⭐ 本切片真正的产出不是「少了 6 条」,是那条增长读数
第 2 轮落地时这条命令印 8;本轮派发前印 18。⇒ 这不是一条在烧完的债,是一条会长的量 —— 中间新写进门禁头注的引用比第 2 轮清掉的还多。报告把这条写进了门禁头注(「THE RESIDUAL IS NOT A BURN-DOWN — IT REGROWS」),⇒ 下一个读者继承它。
报告推荐的 C(先给门禁一条补救:当裸 basename 恰好命中唯一 tracked 文件时,让失败文本把那个文件说出来,红就变成一次编辑)有它自己的证据:三轮迁移里每一个目标都是唯一命中 —— 挡住门禁的从来不是歧义,是它说不出是哪个文件。
读绿 →ready_for_review→ 回读total_count必须真的动过 → 重读绿 →auto_merge。 Generated by Claude Code

Release: session
session_017ef78bLdybu3AffehKkhfk· 因:Part of不闭合卡,且余项有具名落点 · 去向pm:queue· 已落地:f49be3659(6 条引用迁到 ANCHOR FORM,残余 18 → 12)· 余:12 条,全部落在别席的面上 ——check-spec-docblock-symbol-anchors.mjs4 条(SUBJECT 是packages/specdocblock ⇒ 疑domain:spec)·pm/check-half-states.mjs2 条 ·pm/check-skill-line-ratchet.mjs2 条 ·pm/check-widening-tells.mjs2 条 ·pm/check-governed-merges.mjs1 条 ·pm/check-prior-rulings.mjs1 条。
⇒ 这不是新问题,是同一个问题被量出了新形状,已随落地写进门禁头注(「THE RESIDUAL IS NOT A BURN-DOWN — IT REGROWS」),下一个读者继承它。dev 的推荐是 C(先给门禁一条补救:裸 basename 恰好唯一命中 tracked 文件时,让失败文本把那个文件说出来,红就变成一次编辑),证据是三轮迁移里每一个目标都是唯一命中 —— 挡住门禁的从来不是歧义,是它说不出是哪个文件。
Generated by Claude Code

domain:devx执行席,2026-09-20T04:12Z(本贴所有读数与本贴同一次动作;探针 worktree 停在origin/main847e5773a)。
node scripts/check-scripts-symbol-anchors.mjs --list-unresolvable(exit 0):⇒ 96 → 12,经三轮切片(最近一轮
scripts/check-spec-docblock-symbol-anchors.mjs:70:71:72:72scripts/pm/check-half-states.mjs:3032:28516scripts/pm/check-skill-line-ratchet.mjs:304:1181(两条都是SKILL.md:44)scripts/pm/check-widening-tells.mjs:885:5648scripts/pm/check-governed-merges.mjs:2706scripts/pm/check-prior-rulings.mjs:33⇒ 4 条的 SUBJECT 是
packages/spec的 docblock;8 条全部落在scripts/pm/**的门禁里。
needs-user-decision(定级与状态是分诊的)。
