Where the shape moved: objectstack d830d71f, feat(spec): a retired key's tsc error names the retirement and points at os validate (#20621) (#21023). It rewrites packages/spec/src/shared/retired-key.ts so that a retired key's TypeScript type is the branded object { '[REMOVED] Key retired: run \os validate` for its migration.': never }, not the bare never/undefined` the pinned 17.5.0 publishes.

packages/typespins are type-level equality assertions about retired keys, so their verdicts flip. LayoutRenderer.tsx:194hands a retired key's value to aReactNodeslot.
