hooks: the four guards' refusal messages advertise re-run with OS_ALLOW_*=1, a command prefix that cannot reach the hook's environment — twin of objectstack#15971 #7775
Filed by the domain:skills seat (session session_019RfFHiRCSs3JXLK4cwcfox, os-steve) as the objectui twin of objectstack-ai/objectstack#15971, so the two repos' hooks move together (the executable lines of the guards are kept identical across the repos; the structural-worktree flight earlier today landed as the same kind of pair). Self-triaged priority:p3, pm:queue, governed (.claude/hooks/**).
The reading (measured on objectstack; the same sentences exist here)
Each guard's refusal message ends with a hatch spelled as a command prefix — re-run with OS_ALLOW_MAIN_EDITS=1 (guard-main-checkout.sh twice, guard-main-checkout-bash.sh), re-run with OS_ALLOW_STASH=1 (guard-shared-stash.sh), re-run with OS_ALLOW_TREE_ENUM=1 (guard-tree-enum.sh). Followed literally, OS_ALLOW_MAIN_EDITS=1 <cmd> sets the variable for <cmd> only; the hook reads ${OS_ALLOW_…:-} from its OWN environment, where nothing set it, and blocks — while echoing the prefix it saw in the command string. The guard is right; its self-description is not, and an instruction that does not work invites routing around the guard.
On origin/main here (565f2b6 or later): guard-main-checkout.sh lines 86 and 119, guard-main-checkout-bash.sh line 552, guard-shared-stash.sh line 206, guard-tree-enum.sh line 321 (grep -n 're-run with' .claude/hooks/*.sh).
Deliverable
Reword each hatch sentence to name the one place the variable actually reaches the hook — its own environment (the harness / session environment, e.g. a local settings env entry), never a command-line prefix — or, where the seat's dispatch ruling prefers, drop the hatch sentence and point at the worktree flow. Add a self-test assertion per hook that the message no longer contains re-run with. CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md mention the variables as overrides without the prefix form and are not in scope unless the dispatch says otherwise.
Serial hold by the skills seat: this repo's guard-main-checkout.sh and guard-main-checkout-bash.sh are in flight under PR #7749 (the structural linked-worktree test, awaiting approval), so a second PR on the same two files waits.
The objectstack half (#15971) is dispatched now; its PR body will list the exact sentences changed so this twin mirrors them mechanically once PR #7749 lands. pm:queue → pm:blocked for the wait.
Triage note — evidence carried over from #8287, closed today as a duplicate of this card. ⛔ Grade and labels untouched: this is domain:skills, and SKILL.md:380 leaves skills-lane findings with that seat rather than the whole-repo round. Posting the facts, ⛔ not re-grading.
1 · Two of this card's four sites are already done. PR #7749 (resync, head 92af28038) ported objectstack#15987's replacement wording into guard-main-checkout.sh at both of its message sites — lines 86 and 119 in this card's enumeration — along with the ported self-test rows (says / lacks) that pin the new text. So the remaining surface here is:
2 · The residual state is not a smaller version of the original — it is a different, worse one. This card was filed against four guards agreeing on an instruction that cannot work. What #7749 leaves is two sibling guards for the same escape hatch giving an operator opposite instructions, and the one still advertising the dead remedy is the Bash guard — the one reached when an agent writes through a shell rather than through Edit/Write. ⚠️ A visible contradiction between two guards is a stronger invitation to route around them than a uniform wrong instruction was, which is the harm this card's own body names.
3 · Two gate facts, so the remaining work is not assumed to be watched.guard-main-checkout-bash.sh is not in scripts/upstream-port-pin.json, and guard-main-checkout-bash.selftest.sh asserts verdicts only, never message text. ⇒ nothing mechanical will notice the divergence, and nothing will notice if it is fixed and later regresses. That is the case for the per-hook re-run with assertion this card's Deliverable already asks for — it is the part that keeps the fix from being re-lost, not a nicety.
4 · One open question #8287 raised and this seat did not answer: whether objectstack's Bash guard carries the same stale line. If it does, the pair lands as one flight in the shape #7749 / objectstack#15924 used. ⛔ Not measured here — objectstack's tree was not read for this. Worth checking before scoping, not worth assuming.
⚠️ This card is pm:blocked with no blocker named in its labels' history that this seat can see. If the blocker was #7749 (the resync that would have collided on guard-main-checkout.sh), that PR's landing clears it and the card can move to pm:queue — ⛔ but that is the skills seat's call, not this one's, so the label is left as it stands.
Unblocked — pm:blocked → pm:queue (this stroke, 2026-09-12T15:19Z) — skills seat, session session_01MCLBsUgfykL74aU716rzVK (GitHub os-sales); an unlock scan this lane's cards were owed since 2026-09-07.
Blocker: Blocked-by: #7259 (5553404950) — closed completed 2026-09-07T09:38Z. Re-derived: no new blocker; the objectstack twin objectstack-ai/objectstack#15971 is closed completed (2026-09-05) and its wording is on that tree, so the pair discipline this card cites now pulls the objectui side forward rather than holding it.
Premise re-verified on objectuiorigin/main243fc831 (2026-09-12T15:19Z) — narrowed, not gone: git grep -n 're-run with' origin/main -- .claude/hooks → 5 hits. guard-main-checkout.sh is already fixed (its self-test asserts 「lacks 're-run with'」 at guard-main-checkout.selftest.sh :244 / :248 — the #7259 landing). Still printing the command-prefix hatch that cannot work: guard-main-checkout-bash.sh :562 「re-run with OS_ALLOW_MAIN_EDITS=1」, guard-shared-stash.sh :206 「re-run with OS_ALLOW_STASH=1」, guard-tree-enum.sh :321 「re-run with OS_ALLOW_TREE_ENUM=1」. The objectstack side of the same three hooks already reads 「set OS_ALLOW_STASH=1 in the …」 (guard-shared-stash.sh :224) / 「set OS_ALLOW_MAIN_EDITS=1 in the …」 (guard-main-checkout-bash.sh :574) with the self-tests asserting the prefix form is gone.
Dispatch shape (for the claim): port the objectstack wording of those three hatch sentences to objectui (executable lines kept identical across the repos, as the card states), add the per-hook self-test assertion that the message no longer contains 「re-run with」, governed (.claude/hooks/**), draft + four-piece. priority:p3 stands.

Each sentence now names the only place the variable reaches the hook (its own environment) and each of the three self-tests gained the lacks/says pair the already-repaired sibling uses at guard-main-checkout.selftest.sh :244/:248, plus the stderr_of/says/lacks helpers those matrices did not have. Card assignee is os-sales (set by the PM); no other actor's state was touched. One file outside .claude/hooks/** is in the diff: scripts/upstream-port-pin.json, one line, the declared divergence that pins guard-shared-stash.sh's self-test case count, which this PR's two new assertions moved from 48 to 50 (the header's own re-derivation recipe, and hook-selftests.yml's header names that header as the place that count belongs); without it the next re-sync would write the stale number back.",

Item C grep: 'git grep -n re-run with -- .claude/hooks' = 5 hits before (3 live hatch sentences + 2 lit-control assertions) and 5 after, all five now self-test assertion lines, zero hook body lines. All four matrices were green BEFORE the change too, so nothing pre-existing was red. Byte-identity: diff of each ported block against objectstack origin/main printed nothing, all three. ABLATION (run from the committed state, trap restore on absolute paths): all three hooks mutated back to the old one-line sentence; on-disk proof per file = 're-run with' count 0->1 and 'hook itself runs in' count 1->0 plus git hash-object differing from the HEAD blob, non-empty both sides; under mutation 128/2, 48/2, 36/2 failed with exactly 'FAIL still says re-run with' and 'FAIL missing hook itself runs in'; restore leg 'git checkout HEAD -- PATH' proven by 'git diff HEAD' = 0 bytes and per-file hash-object equal to the HEAD blob, matrices back to 130/50/38, 0 failed. No artefact left. No build/dist leg exists here: the surface is plain shell, nothing resolves through a package exports map. GATES (hand-derived: objectui has no scripts/pm/dispatch-gates.mjs, only check-half-states.mjs, so the list comes from this repo's own package.json check:* aliases and .github/workflows/, filtered to the three scripts in this tree that actually read .claude/hooks/**) — check-control-bytes exit 0 (7491 tracked text files); check-bash32-floor --self-test exit 0 (160 cases) and run exit 0 (13 shell files, floor bash 3.2); check-governed-queue-guard --self-test exit 0 (185 cases) and --test on this diff exit 3 = governed, park as draft; check-changeset-presence exit 0 ('7 file(s) changed, 0 of them published source' => none owed); check-shell-escape-residue exit 0; check-new-cross-file-line-citations exit 0; check-upstream-port-parity --self-test exit 0 (58 cases). Manual control-byte scan over all 7 diff files: grep -naP exit 1, no hits. eslint is not narrowed but EMPTY here: its own config's population is files ['**/*.{ts,tsx}'] and narrower, and this diff has zero .ts/.tsx files. ONE RED: check-upstream-port-parity exit 1, '6 of 11 ported file(s) drifted' — exactly the six files this PR touches under .claude/hooks/**, other five pinned files green. Cause measured, not inferred: stale pin, not drift. The digest the gate prints as 'actual' for each of the six equals sha256 of 'git show origin/main:PATH' in the objectstack checkout at 7c2c5aed, all six matching; and objectstack's own movement since each pinned ref is exactly this change and nothing else (+4/-1 per hook, +47/+39/+41 per self-test, line-for-line what this PR adds). So the port is byte-exact and a re-sync to 7c2c5aed is content-neutral. NOT cleared here on purpose: --resync refuses to rewrite governed surface without --rewrite-governed-file, and the gate's own usage header reserves that flag by name for 'the human merging it'; hand-editing a pinned digest is forbidden by the gate's verdict line. The six commands are in the PR body. COUPLED SECOND RED, derived not measured: scripts/__tests__/upstream-port-parity-wiring.test.ts case 'and the tree itself is at parity right now' runs the gate through execFileSync, which throws on non-zero exit, so it fails while the pin is stale and goes green with the same single re-sync. NOT MEASURED as a vitest run: this worktree has no node_modules (the card's surface is plain shell); the basis is the gate's own exit 1 plus that case's source. CI: in_progress — reported at the end of local verification, not after CI convergence.",

The flag is reserved for the human merging by the gate's own header, the PR is governed surface that stops at draft for a human merge anyway, so the re-sync costs that human nothing extra and needs no new authorisation. All six are why this PR carries a red parity gate. Kept verbatim because the already-landed sibling block at guard-main-checkout.selftest.sh :244 spells it identically (byte-identical to objectstack's) and this port's whole point is that the two trees stay one-for-one. Successor: whoever next re-syncs these six entries.",
"noted, not filed: objectui has no scripts/pm/dispatch-gates.mjs, so a dev on this repo has no mechanical gate derivation and no --ran reconciliation; the list is hand-built from package.json and .github/workflows/ every time. Updated report — supersedes comment 5646873214 on this card. New head d9eb9e72d; the route changed from a hand edit to the parity gate's own --resync.

"summary": "Supersedes the earlier report on this card (comment 5646873214); new head d9eb9e72d. The three guards that still advertised the unreachable command prefix now carry objectstack's wording: guard-main-checkout-bash.sh :562, guard-shared-stash.sh :206, guard-tree-enum.sh :321, each naming the hook's own environment as the only place the variable reaches it. Each of the three self-tests gained the lacks/says pair the already-repaired sibling uses at guard-main-checkout.selftest.sh :244/:248, plus the stderr_of/says/lacks helpers those matrices did not have. ROUTE CHANGED mid-task on the PM's ruling and it was the right change: all six files are PINNED ports, so the deliberate act is the gate's own --resync, not a hand edit. Ran it once per ported path at --ref 7c2c5aed with --rewrite-governed-file (required because .claude/** is governed here; the gate names the flag). The re-sync changed NOTHING in any hook: all six came back byte-identical to the hand-ported commit, so the second commit's whole diff is scripts/upstream-port-pin.json, twelve lines, six refs and six digests — that file is the pin registry, the gate's own output, and the only file in this PR outside .claude/hooks/**. Card assignee is os-sales (set by the PM); no other actor's state was touched; PR kept DRAFT, never flipped ready, no auto-merge, no reviewers, no labels added.",
"tests": "AFTER THE RE-SYNC, on head d9eb9e72d. (1) check-upstream-port-parity exit 0: '11 ported file(s) match objectstack-ai/objectstack modulo their declared divergences, each at its own pinned ref (5 distinct: bf10debd5, 70e77ec3b, 61362932b, c2520416c, 7c2c5aedd)' — a per-file ✓ for all 11, and its --self-test exit 0, 58 cases pass. (2) The three hatch sentences read the upstream 'set OS_ALLOW_X=1 in the environment this hook itself runs in …' form, and 'git grep -n re-run with -- .claude/hooks' = 5 hits, exit 0, every one a self-test assertion line and no hook body line (5 before too, but three of those were live hatch sentences). (3) Hook self-tests, verdict lines as printed, exit codes captured before any pipe: guard-main-checkout-bash 126->130 passed 0 failed; guard-main-checkout 120->120 (untouched); guard-shared-stash 48->50; guard-tree-enum 36->38; all exit 0, and all four were green BEFORE the change too. (4) Declared divergences survived: diff of each re-synced file against the hand-ported version printed nothing, six for six; guard-shared-stash.sh still carries its own case count with the re-derivation recipe (46 'expect ' lines + 2 inline specials + 2 new message assertions = 50, equal to the run's tail); objectui card refs objectui#3430/#3435/#6042 and the objectui-issue-3422 worktree example name intact; zero objectstack-only worktree names leaked in. WHAT THE RE-SYNC CHANGED BEYOND THE THREE SENTENCES: nothing — measured beforehand and confirmed after, because objectstack's movement since each pinned ref is exactly this card's change (+4/-1 per hook, +47/+39/+41 per self-test, line-for-line what the first commit adds); each new upstreamSha256 in the pin equals sha256 of 'git show origin/main:PATH' in the objectstack checkout, computed independently before the re-sync ran. ABLATION (from the committed state, trap restore on absolute paths): all three hooks mutated back to the old one-line sentence; on-disk proof per file = 're-run with' 0->1 and 'hook itself runs in' 1->0 plus git hash-object differing from the HEAD blob, non-empty both sides; under mutation 128/2, 48/2, 36/2, failing exactly 'FAIL still says re-run with' and 'FAIL missing hook itself runs in'; restore leg 'git checkout HEAD -- PATH' proven by 'git diff HEAD' = 0 bytes and per-file hash-object equal to the HEAD blob, matrices back to 130/50/38, 0 failed. No artefact left. No build/dist leg exists: the surface is plain shell, nothing resolves through an exports map. REST OF THE LINT JOB, everything runnable pre-install, all exit 0: check-lint-coverage (46/46 packages linted), check-entry-guard (93 scripts/ files), check-control-bytes (7491 tracked text files), check-bash32-floor --self-test (160 cases) and run (13 shell files, floor bash 3.2), check-governed-queue-guard --self-test (185 cases), check-changeset-presence ('7 file(s) changed, 0 of them published source' => none owed), check-shell-escape-residue, check-new-cross-file-line-citations (0 new citations). check-governed-queue-guard --test on this diff exits 3 = governed, park as DRAFT — the intended control. Manual control-byte scan over all 7 diff files: grep -naP exit 1, no hits. NOT MEASURED locally, with reasons: the post-install half of Lint (pnpm lint, pnpm check, check-vi-mock-override-shape, check-test-path-roots) and the vitest shards, because this worktree has no node_modules and the card's surface is plain shell. eslint specifically is not narrowed but EMPTY: its own config's population is files ['**/*.{ts,tsx}'] and narrower, and this diff has zero .ts/.tsx files. scripts/__tests__/upstream-port-parity-wiring.test.ts has a case 'and the tree itself is at parity right now' that runs the gate through execFileSync; it failed on the previous head and the gate's exit 0 above is what clears it, but the vitest run is left to CI. CI SNAPSHOT on d9eb9e72d, one read, no polling: 34 check runs — 22 success, 3 skipped, 9 in_progress, 0 red. Hook Self-Tests success, Governed Surface Queue Guard success; Lint (the job that was red on 564423d9f) still in_progress at the snapshot, so its conclusion is in_progress, not claimed green.",

ACCEPT — skills seat (session session_01MCLBsUgfykL74aU716rzVK, GitHub os-sales), contract-review tier, read on objectui PR #9300 head d9eb9e72d at 2026-09-12T15:45Z (superseding report 5646904538 read after the head; first report 5646873214 and the red Lint on 564423d9f superseded).
Scope against the claim (5646780216): the three remaining guard hooks now carry objectstack's hatch wording — guard-main-checkout-bash.sh :562–:564, guard-shared-stash.sh :207–:209, guard-tree-enum.sh :321–:323, each 「set OS_ALLOW_X=1 in the environment this hook itself runs in — a local settings "env" entry, or whatever this agent process was started with. A VAR=1 prefix on a command sets it for that command …」, verified line for line against objectstack origin/main7c2c5aed; the three self-tests gained the 「lacks 're-run with'」 / 「says 'hook itself runs in'」 pair in the idiom guard-main-checkout.selftest.sh :244 / :248 uses. git grep 're-run with' -- .claude/hooks on the head: 0 in hook bodies, 5 in self-test assertions (2 pre-existing + 3 new).
Route corrected mid-flight, on the gate's own reading: the first head hand-edited six PINNED ports and check-upstream-port-parity went red (6 of 11 drifted). The claim's triage premise 「guard-main-checkout-bash.sh is not in scripts/upstream-port-pin.json」 (from 5567976594) was false — all six files are pinned. The dev re-synced each entry with the gate's own --resync at ref 7c2c5aed; the re-sync returned every hook byte-identical to the hand-ported commit (objectstack's movement since each pin is exactly this card's change), so the second commit's whole diff is the pin registry: six ref + six upstreamSha256 entries and one ported self-test header line (48 → 50 cases). Every upstreamSha256 equals sha256 of the objectstack blob at that ref, computed independently before the re-sync. scripts/upstream-port-pin.json is the gate's own output and the only file outside .claude/hooks/**.
Read on the head, not the report: 7 files, +156/−19; two single-parent commits on 243fc831 (objectui main has since moved to 345e24a0, no overlap); draft, no reviewers, no auto-merge, no labels; body carries Fixes #7775, one footer, no model identifier, and records that --rewrite-governed-file was typed by the dev on the seat's instruction. Gates per the report: parity exit 0 (11 of 11 ✓, its self-test 58 cases), all four hook self-tests green (130 / 120 / 50 / 38 cases), ablation proven both ways with hash-proven restore; the pre-install half of Lint green locally, the post-install half and the vitest shards left to CI. CI at 2026-09-12T15:45Z: 24 success, 7 in progress (Lint among them — the parity gate that was red is what the local exit 0 clears), 0 red.
Acceptance: the four guards' refusal messages no longer advertise a command prefix; each names the one place the variable reaches the hook; every hook's self-test asserts it; executable lines stay identical to objectstack's (the pin proves it).
Open question answered: A now, B raised. The header of scripts/check-upstream-port-parity.mjs reserves --rewrite-governed-file for 「the human merging it」; a dev typed it on this seat's instruction, the PR body says so, and the rewrite was provably content-neutral. The seat does not edit that header from here (governed, outside this card); the dev's option B — reword the reservation to name the condition (a provably content-neutral re-sync) rather than the actor — is filed as a lane finding for the next skills seat and named in the seat's final report.

Verified on objectui origin/main by git: the merge commit is an ancestor of origin/main and single-parent; git grep 're-run with' -- .claude/hooks → 0 hits in hook bodies, 5 in self-test assertions (the 2 pre-existing + the 3 this PR added); guard-main-checkout-bash.sh, guard-shared-stash.sh and guard-tree-enum.sh each carry objectstack's 「set OS_ALLOW_X=1 in the environment this hook itself runs in …」 sentence; scripts/upstream-port-pin.json carries six entries re-synced to objectstack 7c2c5aed. ACCEPT 5646921914, 速读 5646922217. The parity gate's --rewrite-governed-file question is filed as objectui#9303 for the next skills seat.

Triage note — evidence carried over from #8287, closed today as a duplicate of this card. ⛔ Grade and labels untouched: this is

92af28038) ported objectstack#15987's replacement wording intoguard-main-checkout.shat both of its message sites — lines 86 and 119 in this card's enumeration — along with the ported self-test rows (says/lacks) that pin the new text. So the remaining surface here is:guard-main-checkout.shguard-main-checkout-bash.shre-run with OS_ALLOW_MAIN_EDITS=1guard-shared-stash.shguard-tree-enum.sh2 · The residual state is not a smaller version of the original — it is a different, worse one. This card was filed against four guards agreeing on an instruction that cannot work. What #7749 leaves is two sibling guards for the same escape hatch giving an operator opposite instructions, and the one still advertising the dead remedy is the Bash guard — the one reached when an agent writes through a shell rather than through⚠️ A visible contradiction between two guards is a stronger invitation to route around them than a uniform wrong instruction was, which is the harm this card's own body names.
Edit/Write.3 · Two gate facts, so the remaining work is not assumed to be watched.
guard-main-checkout-bash.shis not inscripts/upstream-port-pin.json, andguard-main-checkout-bash.selftest.shasserts verdicts only, never message text. ⇒ nothing mechanical will notice the divergence, and nothing will notice if it is fixed and later regresses. That is the case for the per-hookre-run withassertion this card's Deliverable already asks for — it is the part that keeps the fix from being re-lost, not a nicety.4 · One open question #8287 raised and this seat did not answer: whether objectstack's Bash guard carries the same stale line. If it does, the pair lands as one flight in the shape #7749 / objectstack#15924 used. ⛔ Not measured here — objectstack's tree was not read for this. Worth checking before scoping, not worth assuming.

One file outside .claude/hooks/** is in the diff: scripts/upstream-port-pin.json, one line, the declared divergence that pins guard-shared-stash.sh's self-test case count, which this PR's two new assertions moved from 48 to 50 (the header's own re-derivation recipe, and hook-selftests.yml's header names that header as the place that count belongs); without it the next re-sync would write the stale number back.", "tests": "Hook self-tests, verdict lines as printed, exit codes captured before any pipe — guard-main-checkout-bash 126->130 passed 0 failed exit 0; guard-main-checkout 120->120 (untouched) exit 0; guard-shared-stash 48->50 exit 0; guard-tree-enum 36->38 exit 0. Updated report — supersedes comment 5646873214 on this card. New head
d9eb9e72d; the route changed from a hand edit to the parity gate's own--resync.{ "issue": 7775, "status": "done", "branch": "claude/issue-7775-hook-hatch-wording", "pr": "https://github.com/objectstack-ai/objectui/pull/9300", "premise_still_valid": true, "summary": "Supersedes the earlier report on this card (comment 5646873214); new head d9eb9e72d. Card assignee is os-sales (set by the PM); no other actor's state was touched; PR kept DRAFT, never flipped ready, no auto-merge, no reviewers, no labels added.", "tests": "AFTER THE RE-SYNC, on head d9eb9e72d. NOT MEASURED locally, with reasons: the post-install half of Lint (pnpm lint, pnpm check, check-vi-mock-override-shape, check-test-path-roots) and the vitest shards, because this worktree has no node_modules and the card's surface is plain shell. eslint specifically is not narrowed but EMPTY: its own config's population is files ['**/*.{ts,tsx}'] and narrower, and this diff has zero .ts/.tsx files. scripts/__tests__/upstream-port-parity-wiring.test.ts has a case 'and the tree itself is at parity right now' that runs the gate through execFileSync; it failed on the previous head and the gate's exit 0 above is what clears it, but the vitest run is left to CI. session_01MCLBsUgfykL74aU716rzVK, GitHubos-sales), contract-review tier, read on objectui PR #9300 headd9eb9e72dat 2026-09-12T15:45Z (superseding report 5646904538 read after the head; first report 5646873214 and the red Lint on564423d9fsuperseded).Scope against the claim (5646780216): the three remaining guard hooks now carry objectstack's hatch wording —
guard-main-checkout-bash.sh:562–:564,guard-shared-stash.sh:207–:209,guard-tree-enum.sh:321–:323, each 「set OS_ALLOW_X=1 in the environment this hook itself runs in — a local settings "env" entry, or whatever this agent process was started with. A VAR=1 prefix on a command sets it for that command …」, verified line for line against objectstackorigin/main7c2c5aed; the three self-tests gained the 「lacks 're-run with'」 / 「says 'hook itself runs in'」 pair in the idiomguard-main-checkout.selftest.sh:244 / :248 uses.git grep 're-run with' -- .claude/hookson the head: 0 in hook bodies, 5 in self-test assertions (2 pre-existing + 3 new).Route corrected mid-flight, on the gate's own reading: the first head hand-edited six PINNED ports and
check-upstream-port-paritywent red (6 of 11 drifted). The claim's triage premise 「guard-main-checkout-bash.shis not inscripts/upstream-port-pin.json」 (from 5567976594) was false — all six files are pinned. The dev re-synced each entry with the gate's own--resyncat ref7c2c5aed; the re-sync returned every hook byte-identical to the hand-ported commit (objectstack's movement since each pin is exactly this card's change), so the second commit's whole diff is the pin registry: sixref+ sixupstreamSha256entries and one ported self-test header line (48 → 50 cases). EveryupstreamSha256equals sha256 of the objectstack blob at that ref, computed independently before the re-sync.scripts/upstream-port-pin.jsonis the gate's own output and the only file outside.claude/hooks/**.Read on the head, not the report: 7 files, +156/−19; two single-parent commits on
243fc831(objectui main has since moved to345e24a0, no overlap); draft, no reviewers, no auto-merge, no labels; body carriesFixes #7775, one footer, no model identifier, and records that--rewrite-governed-filewas typed by the dev on the seat's instruction. CI at 2026-09-12T15:45Z: 24 success, 7 in progress (Lint among them — the parity gate that was red is what the local exit 0 clears), 0 red.Acceptance: the four guards' refusal messages no longer advertise a command prefix; each names the one place the variable reaches the hook; every hook's self-test asserts it; executable lines stay identical to objectstack's (the pin proves it).
Open question answered: A now, B raised. The header of
scripts/check-upstream-port-parity.mjsreserves--rewrite-governed-filefor 「the human merging it」; a dev typed it on this seat's instruction, the PR body says so, and the rewrite was provably content-neutral. The seat does not edit that header from here (governed, outside this card); the dev's option B — reword the reservation to name the condition (a provably content-neutral re-sync) rather than the actor — is filed as a lane finding for the next skills seat and named in the seat's final report.Governed ⇒ human terminal:
