What changed

  • move the feedback surface into the full-width composer dock
  • show it only for Host-attributed plugin error or unavailable states
  • keep healthy, unknown, model, API-key, and unrelated network errors silent
  • preserve the finite-enum preview and explicit confirmation privacy boundary

Impact

The interface stays lightweight during normal use and offers feedback at the moment a plugin is structurally known to have failed.

Validation

  • pnpm test:all
  • 7 client/host test files, 27 tests
  • 4 backend test files, 10 tests
  • real DeepSeek Harness rc.6 package/install/loader E2E
  • local browser verification of hidden, failure prompt, and expanded preview states
