This library provides a collection of SVG icons and pictograms designed for visualizing wagons and wagon attributes of train formations in the Swiss public transport system. The library is actively used in the Swiss Train Formation Visualization.
The SVG assets help represent wagons and wagon characteristics including class designations, accessibility features, onboard amenities, and vehicle types.
The graphics are newly designed as SVG for the above mentioned visualiszation. Some of them are newly designed in order to be selfspeaking others are borrowed from the SBB to be rerecognised by train passanger. We did ask for permission and got following answer (original in German):
Durch die Bereitstellung der grafischen Darstellung der Zugformation wird im Rahmen der Systemführerschaft das Bestreben zur weiteren Erhöhung der Konsistenz der Kundeninformation im öffentlichen Verkehr der Schweiz vorangetrieben. Dies trägt dazu bei, die Nutzererfahrung zu verbessern und die Informationsvermittlung für die Reisenden zu optimieren. Daher bestätigen wir hiermit, dass die Komponente sbb-train-formation sowie die darin verwendeten Fahrplan-Icons über die Plattform opentransportdata.swiss für nicht kommerzielle Projekte zur Verfügung gestellt werden dürfen.
