1.12.2 - Nether rendered useless upon entering it if mod is installed

Using Sponge API and Forge on a 1.12.2 world, the nether will display Unknown Unknown in Wawla and no blocks can be mined or placed or anything. Removing the mod or re-loging in after being in Nether fixes it. Using UniversalRemote-1.12-0.9.10
