49: buffer polish late fixes

Summary

Extensive polish overhaul on the animation and performance.

Fixes #49

Changes

• Using a polished animation by tapping into the mlx.mlx_loop_hook, eliminating screen tearing and graphics artifacts.
• Performance improvements using batched slice operations
• Animation now enabled for Visualize-only mode as well, using a stub render order
• Code cleanup
• Enabled 'x' button to close window

Testing

• make lint passes locally
• make test passes locally
• Manually tested the behavior described above
