The serde crate with features = "derive" already includes the derive macros, so serde_derive is unnecessary and can be removed to avoid redundancy.

Summary of Changes

Hello @bniladridas, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request focuses on optimizing the project's dependency tree by eliminating an unnecessary serde_derive dependency. The core serde crate, already in use with its 'derive' feature enabled, provides all the required derive macros, rendering the standalone serde_derive package superfluous. The change simplifies the project's build configuration and dependency management without impacting functionality.

Highlights

  • Dependency Removal: The redundant serde_derive dependency has been removed from the project's Cargo.toml and Cargo.lock files.
  • Redundancy Elimination: The serde crate, when configured with the derive feature, already includes the necessary derive macros, making the separate serde_derive crate unnecessary.
  • Project Cleanup: This change streamlines the project's dependencies, reducing clutter and potential for conflicts.

Code Review

This pull request correctly removes the redundant serde_derive dependency. With the derive feature enabled for the serde crate, this explicit dependency is unnecessary. This is a good housekeeping change that simplifies dependency management. The changes to Cargo.toml and Cargo.lock are correct. I approve this PR.
