This is a completely unofficial repository of the cpuid utility from
Todd Allen's Tools. Its only purpose is to make the source code available via GitHub.
This repository is the work of a third party and not owned or endorsed by Todd Allen.
The official webpage for cpuid is https://etallen.com/cpuid.html, and it should be used as the authoritative source of
code and binary releases. Any bug reports or other communication with the author should follow the instructions on that
webpage. Interactions with this GitHub repository (such as pull requests) will be ignored/closed/deleted.
Source code was obtained by downloading and creating a separate tagged commit for each cpuid-<date>.src.tar.gz file
from the listing at https://etallen.com/cpuid/. Tags match the dates embedded in the filenames (e.g., YYYYMMDD).
Files named cpuid-<date>.src.tar.gz in GitHub releases are not repackaged, but are the exact files downloaded from
https://etallen.com/cpuid/, and their SHA-256 checksums should match.
Note: This README.md file, the .gitignore file, and the .github directory (and its contents) are not part of the
original source of cpuid.
