For local development, do:
- Install Node.js.
- Install MongoDB (don't start it yet).
- Open /etc/mongodb.conf and set
journal=false,nojournal=trueandsmallfiles=true. You can also do this locally. - Start MongoDB and create a user
awesomeBoard, passwordfoobar, and give it readWrite-role to a database calledawesomeBoard(firstuse awesomeBoard, thendb.createUser({ user: "awesomeBoard", pwd: "foobar", roles: ["readWrite"] })). - Check out this project, go to its directory, and run
npm install. - Run
bower install. You may have to install bower first using npm. - Run
node server.js.
