2.12.2

Choose a tag to compare

@poddmo poddmo released this 30 Apr 04:53
3578202

In this release:

  • New munge function: mungecddb
    • this is a pre-processor for CDDB entries to apply local standards, such as capitalisation, removing excess spaces, line endings and punctuation. See my example configuration for how to use it.
  • workflow enhancements and fixes:
    • show genre and or year field in the diff, even when empty to maintain a standard format
    • do not (re)move the cover art so it remains available for more than one output format. The clean action will still delete it.
    • Change CDDB default configuration to gnudb
    • Add line numbers and function names to debug output
    • Add a PERFORMER line for each track in the CUE file. This is especially useful for Various Artist discs

Full Changelog: 2.12.1...2.12.2

2.12.1

Choose a tag to compare

@poddmo poddmo released this 06 Feb 05:09
1f8daac

New for this release:

  • add disc number to filename for one track (-1) flacs of multi-disc sets
  • add MusicBrainz IDs to flac tags, if we have them

2.12.0

@poddmo poddmo released this 30 Jan 08:12
959ce1f

This is a roundup release that collects several small fixes and a couple of new features:

  • If a disc is unknown to MusicBrainz, a URL can be presented that will submit the CD Table Of Contents (TOC) to MusicBrainz. Say y to "Submit via http" if prompted and a URL will be displayed. It's up to you to copy the URL into a browser and submit the CD TOC to MusicBrainz
  • The complete cuesheet, including track titles, is now added to whole disc flacs as a CUESHEET comment tag. This is in addition to the existing CUESHEET block that marked track timing points. Whole disc flacs are becoming more appealing as a single file archive of an audio disc.
  • Created more enhancement issues than closed bug issues...

Thanks to all the contributors for bug fixes and testing.

Edit: a new package was generated to include the correct version number in the abcde script. This new package includes commit fbf23d2
