#233 landed as refactor(core), a type release-please hides, so a user-facing fix was about to ship undocumented: structured output and MCP snapshots could not be used together before it — model_dump(mode="json") raised on the model class stored in specifications.metadata. Third time this shape has bitten (#191 for #180, then the streaming zero-duration fix in 1.11.5). The coverage check added in #191 cannot catch it: it verifies that documented-type commits appear, not that a fix wearing a hidden type is absent. Worth a follow-up — a refactor that changes observable behaviour is a fix, and the type should say so at review time. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
