Q-Pathformer is a research initiative focused on developing governance-first machine learning architectures and lifecycle-managed training datasets.
The project explores how AI systems can integrate structured governance artifacts, inspection records, and operational signals into machine-readable datasets while preserving provenance, authorization scope, lineage traceability, and lifecycle containment.
This work connects governance frameworks with execution tooling, allowing datasets to evolve across exploratory, validation, and durable training states while maintaining auditable oversight.

The repository provides a practical reference implementation of dataset lifecycle governance concepts developed within the Q-Pathformer research program. It demonstrates how artifacts can move through controlled lifecycle states while preserving provenance, authorization boundaries, and governance records.
Q-Pathformer is a governed data lifecycle system, not a model.
The platform operates as a layered lifecycle pipeline in which:
- Signals are generated through deterministic or runtime processes
- Signals are contained within STATE_3 as non-authoritative artifacts
- Datasets are formed, reviewed, and evaluated within STATE_2
- Datasets are prepared for training and operational use within STATE_1
Path 1 — Deterministic Corpus to Dataset Pipeline
A deterministic transformation path that converts structured corpora into governed datasets without runtime model involvement.
Path 2 — Runtime Signal Generation and Lifecycle Routing
The primary operational path where runtime-generated signals are routed through lifecycle controls and evidence-generation mechanisms to produce structured governance records.
Path 3 — External Data Ingestion and Containment
A controlled ingestion path for external content. Data is normalized and contained within lifecycle boundaries. Promotion beyond containment is not included within the v1.0 release.
