How to add a shortcut to a filesystem locations (folder / directory) ?

How can I create bookmarks / shortcuts to specific folders.

This is possible in most stock launchers.

For example, if I have /sdcard/files/ebooks/ , I'd like to have a shortcut (icon) in the launcher, that will open this location in a file browser (I persoanlly prefer Total Commander)
