I'm Rachel Dotey, a software engineer with 15+ years of full-stack experience who has shifted her primary focus to AI-driven development. I work with language model APIs, design prompt and system instruction layers that produce consistent results, and build the connector infrastructure that bridges AI capabilities with real applications and data sources.
The connector infrastructure work is where most of my energy is right now - learning how AI systems communicate with external tools, databases, and services, and building the plumbing that makes those integrations reliable in production. It is a fast-moving space and I treat it as a discipline, not a shortcut.
Outside of that, I continue to take on full-stack contract work and volunteer my time managing websites for nonprofit organizations.
