#SpaceComputation

The exploration of space naturally uses the tools

an techniques of astronomy. The intent of this

app is to provide the user with often used formulas

including:

  1. Conic sections calculation and their relation with the law of gravitation.
  2. Elliptic orbits, the connection between the orbit parameters and the period of revolution and the determination of the exact position of a satellite in its orbit at a specified time.
  3. The geometry formulas used to correct for distortions that arise when flat pictures are made of a curved Earth.
  4. Formulas involving logarithms used to understand how radiation is absorbed by a planet (e.g. Earth) atmosphere.
  5. The math involved in the analysis of reflective properties of the conic sections needed to design an X-ray telescope.
